Mary V. Guillory, 80, of Woodville died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday morning Oct. 17 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A Christian vigil was held Friday, at the funeral home.

Mary was born in Church Point, La. on Oct. 14, 1929 to John and Mamie Bourgeois. She lived in Woodville for the past nine years and was a longtime resident of Colmesneil. Mary retired from Sears after more than 35 years of service as a sales clerk. She was a member of Caring and Sharing, the Altar Society, and Home Bound Ministries with Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Woodville.  

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband E.J. Thibodeaux; daughters, Pam Simmons and Beverly Ann Thibodeaux. 

She is survived by her husband, Burley Guillory of Woodville; son, Roger Thibodeaux of Colmesneil; daughters, Joycelyn Sperry of Garden City, Kan, Carolyn Cole and Gwen Revia both of Vidor; brothers, John Bourgeois of Jasper and Norman Bourgeois of Vidor; sisters, Gladys Thibodeaux, also of Vidor, Bertha Benoit of Beaumont, Effie Bennett of Galena Park, Annie Ruth Blanchard of Breaux Bridge, La., Ethel Perrio of Vidor, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
