Rosalind “Dolly” Murff Frazier Williams,85, was born in Crowley, La. on June 24, 1924 of the union of Annie and Percy Murff, by the hand of Jehovah, she fell asleep Oct. 28, 2009. Services were held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor Saturday with burial at Blackjack Cemetery in Allen Parish, La.

Nicknamed “Dolly” by her grandfather, Kincel, Rosalind was raised in Crowley and spent much of her early life in Louisiana, before moving to Texas in 1967. She devoted her life in service of her family and was the epitome of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

She was preceded in sleep by her daughter, Linda A. Williams (1976); father, Percy Murff (1978); brother, Vernon T. Murff (1998); mother, Annie Murff (1998); brother, Raphel Murff (2005); and sister, Elsie Coles (2006); and husband, Monroe E. Williams (2007). 

Rosalind is survived by her sister, Norma Murff DeVille of Loveland, Colo.; sister-in-law, Inez Murff of Crowley, La.; her sons, James V. Frazier of Scott, La., Bobby W. Frazier of Crowley, La., Dale M. Williams of Centreville, Ala. and Daniel C. Williams of Houston; daughters-in-law, Arlene Frazier and Debra Williams; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was the most loving, loyal and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her bright smile and loving heart will be truly missed by all who knew her.
