BC Man arrested on aggravated sexual assault of a child

Orange County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations were advised Nov. 2 of a possible aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Detectives found that over a span of four years, Douglas Ray Boehm, a 49 year old male from Bridge City, has been continuously sexually assaulting at least three juvenile females under the age of 12. Boehm, a registered sex offender, gave a full written confession to detectives

Boehm also admitted to being in possession of child pornography on his home computer. Boehm’s computer has been seized by detectives and child pornography charges are pending a computer forensic examination.

Detectives were able to obtain three warrants Friday for Aggravated Sexual Assault, all 1st Degree Felonies. At approximately 6 p.m., detectives for the sheriff’s office and officers from the Bridge City Police Department responded to Boehm’s residence at 180 Granger in Bridge City. Boehm was placed into custody and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility without incident.

The investigation is being conducted by the OC Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Justice of the Peace Janice Menard arraigned Boehm on Sunday morning and set bond at $500,000 for each charge for a total amount of $1,500,000.00.  He currently remains in the Orange County Correctional Facility. More arrests and charges are possible as the investigation continues.
