Emily Baker, 72, of Vidor died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. and a rosary at 7 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Emily was born on July 29, 1937 in Bunkie, La. to Kirby and Cesna Dufour. She was a long time resident of Vidor before moving to Baytown two years ago. Emily was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints both in Vidor. She is a current member of Golden Glow Marantha Church in Mont Belvieu. She was a member of the Avon Presidents Club. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Baker Sr.; and daughter, Sara Lambert. 

Emily is survived by her son, Donnie Baker and wife, Dorene of Vidor; daughter, Glenda McPherson and husband Bruce of Baytown; brother, Riley Dufour; sisters, Earline McGuire, Peggy Bogeskia, Nira Daigrepont all of Louisiana; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
