Jack Threadgill, 79, of Vidor, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at Harbor Hopice House of Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home. 

A native of Port Arthur, he has lived in Vidor for 40 years and was a retired operator with Gulf Oil Refinery in Port Arthur. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Jack was a longtime member and usher of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor. 

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Threadgill; parents, Sam and Lillie Threadgill; and his brother, Samuel Edward Threadgill. 

He is survived by his sons, James G. Threadgill of Groves, Chris H. Threadgill of Nederland and Robert W. Rogers of Vidor; daughter, Kelly A. Fox of Brookeland and Jerri L. Russell of Vidor; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
