Patricia Joy Dunning, 70, of Orange, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, in the Watson Chapel Cemetery in Kirbyville. Officiating will be the Rev. Randy Branch, pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be 5-9 p.m., Tuesday, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. 

Born on Aug. 29, 1939 in Galveston to Robert Lee Singleton and Betty Meda (Widmann) Singleton, she has been a resident of the Orange area for 52 years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, dedicated to her church family at Wesley United Methodist Church. Patricia was a graduate of Newton High School, she sold Stanley Home Care Products and was a homemaker.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vicki Lynn McMullen; son, Joseph Wynn McMullen and brother, Douglas Singleton. 

Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughter, Carol LeGrand and husband, Thomas of Houston; sons, Don McMullen and wife, Leesa of Orange, Robert McMullen and wife, Adele of Abbeville, La. and Marlin McMullen and wife Tricia of Buna; her children’s father, Donald Richard McMullen of Buna; brother, Larry Singleton of Neosho, Mo.; grandchildren, Caitlin McMullen, Andrew McMullen, Stacie Warren and husband, Shane  Sarah McMullen, Trey McMullen, Zack McNeely, Nick McNeely, Trent Meaux, Tiffany Adams and husband, Gerald; great-grandchildren, Grace McMullen, Jasper, Danika and Lincoln Adams.
