Christopher Jair Pitre, 30, faces up to 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine after being charged with possession of marijuana following Nov. 28 traffic stop. Officer Leonard Roff conducted the stop, according to Fred Hanauer III, Pinehurst police chief.

In other reports, on Nov. 27 Officer Kevin Blakeney was dispatched to Harding Street in reference to a disturbance. A woman who had previously been warned to stay away from the residence was arrested for criminal trespass, according to Hanauer. If convicted Chelsea Kindle, 21, faces up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Also, James Ardoin, 32, was charged with attempted burglary in the early morning hours of Nov. 21. A complainant stated someone had tried to break into a house on Sparrow Street. Pinehurst Officer Mike Dempsey. Ardoin was detained by Orange and West Orange officers. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Other reports include:

• Nov. 22: Blakeney responded to a hair salon on Strickland Drive. It was reported that a person or persons had attempted to force open the rear door open, but were unsuccessful.

• Nov. 25: Officer Brian Foley was dispatched to Whataburger in reference to a theft. The store manager reported that a store employee was caught on video taking money out of the cash register.
