Barbara Lynn Carruth, 63, of Mauriceville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Orange. Services to remember her life will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. A gathering of family and friends for a time of reflection will be from 5 p.m. until 9 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Born on July 17, 1946 in Port Arthur to James Ansel Carruth and Isabel Cecile (Landry) Carruth, she had lived in the Orange and Mauriceville area for 45 years and was a homemaker. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Lummus of Mauriceville; daughters, Debra Trahan and husband, Bobby of Mauriceville and Rebecca Terrell of Orangefield; sons, James Terrell of Warren and Michael Lummus and wife, Sandra of Belton, Texas; sisters, Jerri Pagos and husband, Chris of Arizona, Lea Moore of Mauriceville and Nell Young and husband, Walter of West Orange; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Barbara is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
