Walton Harper Jr, 47, of Mauriceville passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. at Dorman Funeral Home with the Rev. Oscar Snider officiating. Cremation will follow the service. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 6 p.m, until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was a native of Germany; born on Oct. 10, 1962 to parents Walton Cordell Harper Sr. and Catherine (Clakley) Harper. He was a long time resident of Mauriceville and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his hobby was arrowhead hunting. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walton Harper Sr.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his sister, Pam Powell and her husband, Mike of Deweyville; brother, Robert Harper and his wife, Robbin of Bentonville, Ark.; nieces and nephews, Hunter, Chase, Beau and Elle Harper, Kaylyn, and Laine Powell and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
