Angelle named credit union CEO

Thad J. Angelle of Orangefield will assume the president/CEO position of MCT Credit Union from Lee W. Robinson effective Jan. 1.

A graduate of Bridge City High School, Angelle continued his education at Lamar University where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is also a 2008 graduate of the Credit Union National Association Management School.

Angelle has worked in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. After graduating from college, he worked for Ford Motor Credit Co. Angelle began his banking career in 1993 where he gained experience in consumer and commercial lending at Bridge City State Bank. He started working at MCT in 2004 as a member of the senior management team. 

His primary responsibility was to establish a commercial lending department. He furthered his development by also managing the mortgage and collection departments before being promoted to executive vice president.

Angelle is an officer of the Orangefield ISD board of directors, a member of the St. Helen Finance Council and a member of the Bridge City Rotary Club. He is past president of the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club, and an officer of the American Red Cross.

Angelle is the son of Earl and Joyce Angelle of Bridge City. He resides with his wife Candace and three sons, Tyler, Chase and Cody.
