Church of Christ hosts Anderson
  Freddie Anderson of Huntsville, an author who works primarily among penal institutions in the Huntsveill area, will speak at a gospel meeting Sunday through Wednesday at the Church of Christ, 501 Ninth St. in Orange. He will speak at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, then 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Conference set at LC Baptist
Dave Sterrett, author, a Christian apologist, and evangelist will host a conference from 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Little Cypress Baptist Church, 3274 Little Cypress Drive, Orange. Dinner will be served at 6. He will also give a presentation in Sunday school Jan. l0, as well as both services.

Faith UMC open house

MLK birthday celebration

Ralph McCloud, director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, will be the guest speaker at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Commemoration in Beaumont, at the noon celebration of the Eucharist at St. Anthony Cathedral on Sunday. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Center after Mass.
Marriage preparation seminars scheduled
Pamphlets for “To Marry For Life” seminars can be picked up at St. Helen Catholic Church in Orangefield. The first seminar is on Jan. 23 at Holy Family Retreat Center in Beaumont. This is a Catholic preparation for marriage and many topics are discussed such as desires, goals, children, etc. The pamphlet contains registration forms. Gospel singing

New Anointing Church, 10681 N. Texas 87 in Orange, will have a old-fashioned gospel singing Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. Guests may bring a favorite gospel song on tape and/or CD. Religion seminars

First United Methodist Church of Orange will begin its spring Wednesday Night Live classes Jan. 13. A light meal will be served at 5 p.m. in the Praise Center, corner of Fifth Street and Pine Avenue. Classes will begin at 6 in the Education Building. Classes will meet each Wednesday through April and include “The Jesus I Never Knew” by Philip Yancey, “Money Matters” by Michael Slaughter and an overview of the New Testament.
