Glenn Raymer, 53, of Orange passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 28  at Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, with the Rev. John  Fortenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Dorman Funeral Home. 

Glenn was a native and life long resident of Orange; born on May 11, 1956 to parents, Wesley David Raymer and Aggie Myrlin (Collins) Raymer. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Deweyville. He retired form Gerdau Ameristeel after 30 plus years employment. He enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and hunting. He loved to watch the Cowboys and Longhorns play. Glenn loved and was proud of his family and he never met a stranger.

Glenn was preceded in death by parents and his son, Daniel Raymer.

Those who will most cherish his memory will be his life partner, Michelle Taylor of Orange; daughter, Lisa Raymer and husband, Wayne Talbert, of Deweyville; sons, John Raymer and wife, Laci, of Little Cypress, Ben Raymer and wife, Niki, of Vidor; sisters, Linda Hodges and husband, Johnny of Fredericksburg, Christy Lewis and husband, Brian, of Beaumont; brothers, Jody Raymer  and wife, Beverley, of Orange, Wesley Raymer and wife, Liz, of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Aleigha Raymer, Waylon Talbert, Bryce Raymer, Ethan Raymer and one grandson on the way.  

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donation be made to Dorman Funeral Home to help them with the funeral expenses.
