Vidor woman arrested in stabbing
Crystal Gail Carnahan, 23, has been arrested on two counts of aggravated assault for the stabbing of a man and woman in Vidor, Wednesday.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:20 p.m. last night, to 1695 Willow Bend in Vidor concerning a disturbance where several people had been stabbed.
According to Det. Chad Hogan of the sheriff’s office, upon arrival, deputies found two victims, a male 27 year old Vidor resident and a 34-year-old female Vidor resident in the front yard of the residence, both had been stabbed. The third victim, a 22-year-old man from Vidor, had gotten into a fight with another male at the location and sustained injuries from the fight.
All three victims were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital via Acadian Ambulance where they were all treated for non life threatening injuries and released.
Upon investigation and speaking to witnesses at the scene it was determined that two males had gotten into a fist fight and during the altercation, the injured victim’s common-law wife, Carnahan, pulled out a knife and stabbed two individuals on the scene.
Carnahan was arrested and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility. Her bond will be set once she has been arraigned on the charges.
This is not Carnahan’s first time to be arrested for assault. In February of 2009, Carnahan was indicted on felony assault charges for allegedly assaulting an officer.
The investigation is being conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
