BC Students headed to Washington D.C.
Kendall Gibson, Kevin Fontenot and Zach Dionne, 5th grade students attending Bridge City Intermediate have been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum. The youngsters will join a select group of students in Washington, D.C., Feb. 13 – 17 to study leadership and explore some of the most prominent monuments and institutions in the United States.
From Capitol Hill to the Smithsonian Institution, and from historic Gettysburg to the National Museum of American History, Kendall, Kevin and Zach will examine the characteristics of American leadership during times of national challenge and prosperity. Forum delegates will also participate in small-group discussions and exercises to experience firsthand how successful leaders develop strategies, make decisions, build consensus, and foster change.
Kendall, Kevin and Zach were accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement, and leadership potential.
The program is coordinated by People to People Leadership Programs to fulfill the vision President Dwight D.
