Linda Edette “Bitsy” Hancock, 54, of Orange, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, in her residence. Services were Friday in Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

Born Sept. 7, 1955, in Houston to Robert Peter Wiener and Effie Pearl (Graham) Wiener, she spent her early years growing up in Friendswood and had lived in Orange for the past 12 years. A lady with a big heart, she was very spiritual and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who mentored to young ladies in her neighborhood. She will be missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly.

Preceded in death by her parents, those who will most cherish her memory are her husband, Gary Hancock of Orange; her daughters, Kindall Ames and her husband Steven of Kenefick, Texas, and Maddison Drew Low of Mauriceville; her sisters, Mary Gloger of Schulenberg, Lue Szako of Garrison and Rose MacAskie and husband Donald of Pearland and her grandchildren, Trey Ames, Mia Hancock and Conner Hancock.
