Harold Randall Pues Sr., 59, of Vidor, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont following a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor in the Chapel with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Randall was born Oct. 16, 1950 to his parents, Harold and Rachel Nash Pues, in Beaumont. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and a heavy duty equipment operator. He graduated in 1969 from Vidor High School where he excelled as center, not only for the Vidor Pirates football team, but also played for Wharton County Jr. College. Randall enjoyed cooking, fishing, the beach, trips to the lake and hosted many BBQ’s with his friends on a daily basis at his home by his pond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Polly Anna Pues.  

He is survived by his son, Harold Randall “Buddy” Pues Jr., of Vidor; daughter, Amy Pues Prove of Ganado, Texas; mother of his son, Christine Shaw of Vidor; and sisters, Sandra Garza of San Antonio, Jo Ellen Garrett of Vidor and Jennifer Williams of Arlington; two brothers, Manuel Pues of Houston and Michael Pues of Vidor; two grandchildren and a host of several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved his two parrots, Sam and Libby and his many, many dogs he cared for over the years.
