Rosetta Jeanette “Tiny” Head, 54, of the Cove community of Orange, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Cremation arrangements were by Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.  

Born on June 17, 1955 in Groves to parents, Chester Field Stakes and Myra Lou (Brewer) Stakes. She was a resident of Orange for the last 38 years. She attended Drake Memorial Presbyterian Church in Orange and was a homemaker.  Tiny was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed by all who knew her. 

Tiny is preceded in death by her brother, Chester Edco Stakes. 

Those who will most cherish her memory are her loving husband, Vertice L. Head of Orange; daughters, Arron Lynn Head of Orange, Melissa Ann Stricker and husband, James of St. Mary’s, Ga. and Heather Marie Head of California; parents, Chester and Myra Lou Stakes of Bridge City; sisters, Linda Mayrene Butler of Kokomo, Ind., Anna Elizabeth Woodham of Chicago, Ill., Patricia Gail Collier and Donna Faye Fells, both of Bridge City and Winnie Davis Whitton of Jasper; and her brother, Lloyd Lee Stakes of  Bridge City.  Tiny is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous extended family.
