Charles L. Comeaux, 75, of Vidor died Monday, March 15, 2010 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 19, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation and rosary will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.

A native of Church Point, La., he was a long time resident of Vidor, and was a retired painter with the painters local in Nederland. He served his country in the Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He was a past member of the Elk’s Lodge and a member of the Vidor Veterans of Foreign Wars post # 8246, and the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades.

Charles is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cecilia Comeaux of Vidor; sons, Chris Comeaux of Vidor, Charlie Comeaux of Port Acres, and Curtis Comeaux of Lumberton; daughter, Angela Fusilear of Bridge City; 18 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
