Orangefield Elementary students in Mrs. Neely’s 1st grade class were greeted Thursday morning with a big surprise…and it was no “April Fooling.”

Strange events have been occurring  in their classroom since starting a literature study of  the classic children’s book, Bunnicula, which tells of a family that goes to a movie and brings home an adorable little bunny named Bunnicula.

The family’s cat believes that Bunnicula is actually a vampire bunny and must convince the family that he is a threat, before it’s too late.

Strange toothmarks  and white carrots in their science center convinced students that Bunnicula was making night time visits and reeking havoc on their classroom. The misbehaving bunny was caught in the act after the class designed, built, and set a trap to find out the truth once and for all
