Wauline “Gammie Cat” Floyd
Wauline “Gammie Cat” Floyd, 86, of Bridge City, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Magnolia Manor in Groves. Funeral services were Friday morning, April 2 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Born in Orangefield on Aug. 27, 1923, Wauline was the daughter of Lee Henry Bird and Jessie Mae (Davis) Bird.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack D. Floyd; and two brothers, Johnny and Douglas Earl Bird.
Wauline is survived by her son, Charles Floyd Sr. and his wife, Jo Ella; and daughter, Linda Bishop and her husband, Mike, all of Bridge City. Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Charles Floyd Jr., Brandi Bishop Robins and Melissa Floyd Brisbane; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leo, Elmo and Gerald Bird; and sister, Bernadine Bradley.
