It has been reported prominent Orange businessman; Mickey McNamara has succumbed to injuries sustained in a robbery attempt Wednesday afternoon.

According to Orange Police, just after 1 p.m., a black male walked into Mickey McNamara's Insurance Agency on the corner of 12th and Green Ave. and assaulted McNamara and employee Joyce Cross with a bat before leaving the scene.

Both victims were airlifted to the hospital where McNamara succumbed to his injuries.

Orange Police are currently looking for the subject in the attempted robbery. The assailant was wearing black pants, a long sleeve blue shirt, Barack Obama hat, plastic bags over his hands and carrying a baseball bat.
