Jimmie Dee Morris, 76, of Orange, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 4 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born May 30, 1933 to Violet Harton and Jimmie Dan Morris. Jimmie Dee served his country in the Army and was a medic during the Korean War. He retired from Boilermakers Local 587 and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Jimmie Dee loved card playing, the outdoors and spent lots of time working in his yard and garden. He most enjoyed the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jimmie Dee was preceded in death by his mother and father; grandson, Jeffrey Dan Morris; and granddaughter Heather Gillis.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanie Morris; siblings, Trilby Hughes, Douglas Morris, Jenell Bradley and husband, Charles, Jerry Morris and wife, Mae Rose, and Don Morris. He also leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law Becky and Greg Gillis; son, Jeff; son and daughter-in-law, John and Sarah; grandchildren, Melinda Stewart, Justin Morris, Kaci Morris, Java Morris, Jennise Clasby, JD Morris, Jadyn Morris; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Gillis, Kennedie Stewart and Madison Clasby.

Pallbearers will include Don Morris, Jerry Morris Jr., Ken Morris, Justin Morris, Kyle McCarver, and JD Morris.
