Theressa H. Bryan, 88, of Orange, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation in Orange. A memorial service to remember her life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 8 in the Slade Memorial Chapel of First United Methodist Church, 502 Sixth Street in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Stephenson. Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

Born on June 16, 1921 in Rutledge, Ga., Theressa loved cooking, ceramics and needlepoint. She always had a beautiful flower garden to enjoy. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star of Buckhead, Ga. She and her husband, B.J. moved to California in 1970 to start a plastics company in Hunington Beach.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Katie Rose and Charlie Garfield Headrick; first husband, Hugh Dorsey Oxford; second husband, B. J. Bryan; brother, Vernon Headrick; and her sister, Eva Claire Crosier.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughters, Dee Culpepper and husband, Sam of Orange and Trish Sullivan of Acworth, Ga.; stepdaughter, Carrol Laro and husband, Carmen of Badger, Calif.; grandchildren, Susan Cooper and husband, David of Orange, Emily Culpepper of Beaumont, Felicia R. Grommet of Waycross, Ga., Jason T. Murphy, Kristina T. Murphy and Justin D. Murphy all of Acworth, Ga.; stepgrandchildren, Nick Laro, Carmen Laro and wife, Monica, Nina Smith and Mary Kimbrell and husband, Mike, all of California. Theressa is also survived by numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren in Georgia and Texas and numerous stepgreat- and stepgreat-great-grandchildren in California, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
