Jim Scott, 51, of Orangefield, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, May 17 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.  Mr. Larry Tomlin, minister with the Church of Christ in Orangefield will conduct the services. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. just before the service at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. 

Born on Dec. 19, 1958 in Port Arthur to parents, Edward L. Scott and Patsy Jo (Carter) Scott, he was a lifelong resident of the Orangefield area, had worked as a mechanic and he enjoyed going fishing. 

Jim is preceded in death by his mother and he is survived by his father, Edward L. Scott of Orangefield; brother, Frank Edward Scott and wife, Cindy of Orangefield; nieces, Amber Scott of Conroe, Ashley Tomlin and husband, Bryan of Buna and Autumn Savoie and husband, Dane of Killeen; great-niece, Kynlee Diane Tomlin and his soon to be born great-nephew, Jeremy Drew Savoie.
