Stephanie Carol Watkins, 23, was booked on multiple charges after leaving her 6-month-old son in the middle of a Vidor road Sunday. The child was bitten by mosquitos, but was otherwise unharmed.

Watkins was located asleep in a vehicle that was not hers, not far from the scene where the baby was found.

For the charge of abandoning or endangering a child, bond was set at $20,000. She was aloso charged with burglary of a motor vehicle with $1,000 bond set.

Watkins also had an outstanding warrant from Wichita County for bond forfeiture which incurred an additional $20,000 bond.
