Gospel singing at New Anointing
Area residents are invited to join members of New Anointing Church at 7 p.m., Friday, July 30 for an old-fashioned gospel singing. This is open-mike singing. Bring your favorite gospel song on tape or CD or bring your musical instrument. Singers are welcome to have musicians accompany you.
This will be an evening of worship and praise, lifting up the name of Jesus.
Refreshments will follow the singing.

Four Told in concert
Fellowship Baptist Church, 1965 Miller Drive (Farm Road 408) in Bridge City, will host the men’s quartet of Four Told Sunday, July 11, during the 10:30 a.m. service. Four Told is from Sulfur, La., and members Jim Reynolds, Darrell Henagan, Ted Chapman and Shane Robertson have been singing together since 2003.
The church will also have “Old Fashioned Singing Time” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, featuring traditional hymns with Sandra and Kenneth Ratley of Heaven’s Rain Ministries. An ice cream social will follow.

McDonald Memorial Baptist Church, corner of South and Broad streets, near Orange Lions City Park, will sponsor Vacation Bible School Sunday through Friday, July 11-16, from 6-8:30 p.m.
Children 4 through grade 6 completed are invited. The theme is “Saddle Ridge Ranch: Roundin’ Up Questions and Drivin’ Home Answers.”
Family night will be Friday with the closing celebration at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary; followed by a “Saddle Up Shindig Carnival.”

Circle Drive VBS
Circle Drive Baptist Church of Bridge City will have Vacation Bible School for ages 3 years through sixth grade Sunday through Thursday, July 11-15.
This year’s theme is “The Egyptian File: Decoding the Mystery of Life.” “This VBS program is unique, and has not been done elsewhere in our community,” said church officials. “The children will learn that God made them in His very image—they are special and set apart from the rest of God’s creation, and that our purpose in life is to love and serve Him.” Pastor Jack Comer states, “Our members have put a lot of time and effort into make this VBS a huge success. We look forward to the boys and girls of our community having a great time in a safe environment.”
VBS will begin each evening at the Egyptian Museum. The children will then go to the Dig Site for Bible Time. They will be able to check out the artifacts at the Craft Market, enjoy a snack at the Oasis and be involved in “Sunsational games.”

Faith UMC Kidz Adventure Camp
Kidz Adventure Camp for children age 5 through entering fifth grade will be on Wednesdays, July 14, 21 and 28 at Faith United Methodist Church, 8608 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Orange.
Kids will do the cooking at the first camp session: “Yummy Cafe.” Guest artists will lead “Wowee Gallery” July 21 and the finale, “Express Yourself” will include woodcraft, interpretive dance, sign language, water fun and more on July 28.
