Glenda Sue Burns, 58, of Mauriceville passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Services were Friday, Aug. 20, in Dorman Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Rowe officiating. Cremation followed the service.

A native of Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eunice Mae Ramsey born on July 5, 1952. She had lived in Port Arthur for several years, moving to the Orange area in 1979. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Colony Baptist Church. She was very proud of her husband, sons and daughters-in-law. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and giving person who will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Skeet William Burns Sr. of Mauriceville; sons, Skeet William Burns Jr. and his wife Karen of Oakdale, La.; John Allen Burns and his wife Rene of Orange; grandchildren Eric Allen Burns, Brooke Danielle Williams, Brandon Kyle Burns, Ryan Allen Burns and Bruce Tyler Burns; brothers, Don Ramsey of San Antonio, Richard Ramsey of  Port Arthur and James Ramsey of Fort Worth; sisters, Jo-Ann Ramsey of Deweyville, Linda Lopez of Groves, Doris Alfaro of Beaumont and Annie Boudreaux of Liberty; one aunt, Margaret Gutierrez of Port Neches; and numerous nieces and nephews.
