Bria Thibodeaux was honored as the Bridge City Student of the Month at the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce’s September Networking Coffee held at Firestone Credit Union in Bridge City on Sept. 14.

The daughter of Mike Thibodeaux and Lori Dishon is ranked 1st in her class of 181 with a Grade Point Average of 4.86. She has held multiple academic awards including, but not limited to: Honor Roll, Academic All-District, All District Volley Ball and Softball, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Award, Rotary Youth Leadership Award, NCA Individual Leadership Award for Cheerleading, named a NCA All-American Cheerleader and also was a participant in Cheer Hawaii. Bria is involved in the National Honor Society, Varsity Cheerleading, is a student council representative, hurricane clean-up, tutoring and the Little League Field of Dreams.

Her future plans include pursuing an engineering degree at a Texas college.

Faye Parish, Math Teacher for BCHS, says “Bria is one of the most well rounded students we have had at BCHS. She is head cheerleader AND the only girl in my calculus class. She excels at everything and has a wonderful attitude.

Spanish teacher, Kathie Dorman says, “Bria is a very sweet young lady, extremely kindhearted and concerned about others. She is a hard worker and self motivator. She exhibits integrity in all she does and is very conscientious about ‘taking care of business.’ She is a joy to have in my class.”
