Crystal Burns scored a pair of second-half goals to lead host New Mexico State to a 4-0 victory over Lamar in a non-conference women’s soccer game Sunday, Sept. 19.

Lamar (2-6-0) trailed just 1-0 at halftime, but the Aggies (5-1-2) capitalized on their opportunities in the second half.

Lamar outshot New Mexico State 11-10 for the game, but the Lady Cardinals managed to put only two of those shots on goal.  New Mexico puts six shots on Lamar goalkeeper Kylie Robinett.

Mikeaela Bitner had two saves for the shutout for New Mexico State.

Lamar is idle until 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29 when it hosts Houston Baptist to close out the non-conference portion of its schedule.
