Audrey Mae ?”Meme” Mann, 83, of Orange, died Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. The Rev. Bob Boone officiated the service. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Born in Oberlin, La. on March 16, 1927, Audrey was the daughter of Delia (Veillion) and Dolvic Deshotel. She was the co-owner of Mann’s Construction and was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridge City. She loved life and traveling with her two best friends, Ann Boyett and Dorothy Cotton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.A. Mann; and daughter-in-law, Linda Solomon.

Audrey is survived by her son, Richard Solomon of Bridge City and his fiancée, Linda Miller of Beaumont; daughter, Belinda Broom and husband, James of Orange; son, Kenneth Mann and his fiancée, Toni Dyer of Orange; grandchildren, Melisa Winn, Melanie Rozas, Chace Mann, Eric Broom, and Alec Mann; and great-grandchildren, Trey Ayres, Sydney Winn, Taylor Rozas, Arron Winn, and Amber Winn. She is also survived by her sisters, Joy, Betty, and Ethel.

Jim Simon, Ray Bagley, Eric Broom, Chace Mann, Trey Ayres, and Arron Winn served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Alec Mann and Robert Simonton.
