Keith Odes Deen Sr., 67, of Starks, Louisiana, left this life to forever dwell with Jesus on Monday, Oct. 4.  Services to honor his life will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7 at the United Pentecostal Church in Deweyville.  Officiating will be the Rev. Darrell Orange and assisting will be the Rev. Bert Arnold.  Interment will follow services in the V.F.W. Cemetery in Starks. 

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Born on Dec. 11, 1942 in Delhi, Louisiana to his parents, Irvin Harrison Deen and Leola (Fletcher) Deen, he was a longtime resident of Starks and worked as a painter/sandblaster in the construction industry.  Keith enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.  Above all in his life, Keith was a devout Christian and a man of God who loved his church family. 

Preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 42 years, Edna Gibson Deen. 

Those who will most cherish his memory are his wife, Jeanette Foster Deen of Starks; his daughter, Kaylan Doyle and husband, Roger of Merryville; his sons, Keith Odes Deen Jr. and wife, Lisa of Herbert, Okla. and Ray Deen and wife, Lorraine of Starks; his brothers, Kenneth Deen and wife, Elaine of Verda, Louisiana and Enloe Deen and wife, Lynn of Delhi, La.; three grandchildren, Brittany Doyle, Justin Istre and Madison Deen.  Keith is also survived by numerous extended family.  Funeral services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
