On Sept. 28, 2010 a traffic stop conducted by an Orange County Deputy resulted in information of the possible production of Methamphetamines at a residence within the city limits of Vidor.

The information was passed on to Orange County Narcotics Officers who responded to the location. The residence was in the 500 block of Sergeant St. inside the City of Vidor. On arrival, Officers spoke with the homeowner and received written consent to search the interior of the residence. This search revealed an active meth-lab consisting of numerous chemicals and devices used in the production of methamphetamines.

The Vidor Police Department was then contacted and advised of the discovery. VPD in return contacted the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) who arrived and conducted a thorough clean up and disposal of all chemicals and devices associated with the meth-lab. At this time the homeowner, a 32 year old male from Vidor, is currently under investigation.
