Roy D. Barker, Sr., 81, of Vidor died Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Vidor Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Vidor.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 22 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with a burial that followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Vidor for 50 years and was a retired operator with Texaco. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.

Roy is survived by his wife Jessie Jean Barker of Vidor, sons Roy Donald Barker, Jr of Vidor, David Wayde Barker of Cheyenne, WY., Mark Duane Barker of Fayetteville, AR., and James Floyd Barker of Vidor, daughter Mary Beth Webb of Crockett, TX., brother Richard Barker of Roland Park, KS., sister Lou Walters of Vidor, fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
