Autopsy results on Garrett still a mystery
Seven weeks later and the cause of death for Reggie Garrett Jr is still a mystery. Garrett, the senior quarterback from West Orange – Stark, died after throwing a touchdown pass while playing Jasper High School on Friday, Sept. 17.
Toxicology studies on Garrett’s blood and organ tissue are being performed by Dr. Tommy at the Southeast Texas Forensic Center. It has been known to take two to three months for results to come back. The coroner has ruled out an enlarged heart and a brain aneurysm as cause of death.
