BC hosts second annual Christmas light parade
The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is lighting up the town this holiday season with their second annual Christmas Light Parade. The parade is set to begin on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. and will start at the First Baptist Church.
Deadline for sign-up is on Monday, Nov. 29 and applications can be picked up at the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce and Bridge City Bank. The entry fee is either $15 or a toy of great value can be donated. The toys will be donated to the Bridge City Ministerial Alliance.
Parents can bring their children by the Chamber on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. to get their picture taken with Santa Clause and there will be a book signing for Drue Keo’s latest collection of Redneck poetry book “Not by the Book.” Each float will be judged and the judges will be sitting at the Bridge City Bank. After the parade is over, the Bridge City Little League will light up their baseball field.
The town is encouraged to participate by decorating their houses with Christmas lights. For those needing help, AchTwoO (pronounced H20) Pool and Spa Professionals available. The cost depends on each house. Generally, the charges are $1.50 per linear foot for the first floor and $3 per linear foot for the second floor trim. For more information, call 409-313-7665.
