May O. Collier, 85, of Vidor died Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Vidor Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Vidor.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Born on Dec. 21, 1924 and a native of Woodville, she lived in Vidor for 52 years, before moving to Buna ten years ago.

May was preceded in death by her husband Joe William Collier; son Glenn Allen Collier; parents Simon and Bertie Durham; brother Grady Durham; sisters Lavine Butler and Myrtle Breckenridge; and grandchildren James Russell Morgan, and Melinda Sue Singleton.

She is survived by her son Vernon “Cooter” Collier and wife Cheyenne of Bridge City; daughters Ola Jo Morgan and husband Emmitt of Buna, and Phyllis Singleton and husband Joe of Vidor; brothers Brady Durham of Colmesneil, and James Durham of Beaumont; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
