Thomas G. Gordon Sr. (formally of Safford, AZ) passed away peacefully at his residence in Orange, Dec. 17. Thomas was born in Beaver Falls, Pa on March 14th, 1934. He joined the United States Army in November 1953 and served his Country as a Weapons Specialists in the Korea Conflict. He received an Honorable Discharged in November 1956 from Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

He moved his family to Bisbee, AZ. where he began his career as a heavy duty truck mechanic for Phelps-Dodge Copper Company. After retiring from Phelps Dodge Morenci Mine as the Truck Shop Supervisor, he and his wife Louise moved to Safford, AZ where he enjoyed spending time at the VFW Post #10385, volunteering his time at the Safford Senior Center and at the ODD Fellows Club. He attended the Methodist Church in Safford, AZ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and his wife Louise. He is survived by his children Thomas Gordon Jr. of Morenci, AZ, Sherry (Gordon) Lozano of Safford, AZ, Gary and Bea (Gordon) Hartke of Lake City, MN, Everett and Robin Gordon of Orange, TX, Greg and Trish Gordon of Kenai, AK. He is also survived by his step children Randy Benard of Tucson, AZ., Scott Chandler of Little Rock, AR., Matthew and Rhea Cowley of Maricopa, AZ., and Fred and Sue Descamp of Tucson, AZ. He was also Grandpa Pooh Bear to 17 grandchildren and Great-Grandpa to 12.
