J. Kathryn Pittman, 87, of Orange, passed from this life on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at her residence.

Services to remember her life will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Interment will follow in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in the McLewis community of Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Born on May 28, 1923 in Joaquin, Texas, she lived in Orange for 42 years, she was a member of the Ninth and Elm Church of Christ, she was a homemaker and worked with the local PTA in Joaquin and Orange for 35 years, while raising her first and second family. Kathryn was a loving lady who enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her husband and she enjoyed watching television.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Pittman, who passed away just a month ago; her son, William R. “Bubba” Patterson and her five sisters.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughters, Elizabeth LeBlanc and husband, Larry of Orange and Drucilla Wheless and husband, Jack of Logansport, La.; her son, Robert Pittman of Orange; her grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Blankenship and husband, Tuffy, Sammy Wheless, Terry Wheless and wife, Angela, Larry Dean LeBlanc II and wife, Jennifer, Paul David Juneau and wife, Lisa, Michael Juneau and wife Jennifer, and Justin LeBlanc and wife, Shelley. Numerous great grandchildren and extended family also survive Kathryn.
