The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting for The Service League of Orange on Tuesday, Jan. 04 at the Chamber building.  The Service League of Orange was established in 1954 as a 501(c)(3) organization and is run 100 percent by volunteers to meet the needs of the Orange area.

The Service League of Orange hosts “Elder Fun,” Art appreciation for Orange County fourth graders and “Kids On the Block.”  They also run the gift shop at Baptist Hospital Orange which funds special health programs, high school scholarships, carseats for newborns, memory boxes for parents who have lost a newborn and  grants to support community service organizations unfunded by other resources.

On Feb. 18 and 19, The Service League of Orange will host “Hollywood Nights: The Follies 2011,” at the Lutcher Theater. The Follies are only held every three years. This year the show is written by Jeff Hattman and directed by Brook Doss and Kevin Doss.
Follies tee-shirts, tickets and more are available at “Gifts Etc.” in the hospital lobby.
