Billie Glover, 82, of Orange, died Friday, Jan. 14, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with the the Rev. Kevin Trinkle, chaplain at Baptist Hospital in Orange, officiating.A private burial will follow.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mr. Glover was born on April 8, 1928, in McCamey, Texas, the son of Sam and Irene (Cobb) Glover.He was a resident of Orange since 1941, and worked for 30 years with Iron Worker’s Local 125 in Nederland.He was a member of McDonald Memorial Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Leach) Glover, Mr. Glover is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and A-Lee Prudhomme of Houston; granddaughter, Stacey Ripple and her husband, Robert, of Richmond; and great granddaughters, Allyson and Melissa Ripple, also of Richmond.
