On Wednesday, Jan. 26, at approximately 11:06 p.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to an aggravated assault (stabbing) in the 2400 block of Charlotte Street in Orange. The Sheriff’s Office was advised the stabbing victim was being taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle. While on the way to the hospital, the personal vehicle was involved in a wreck.

After interviewing witnesses on scene, deputies determined that an argument had ensued between two people at the residence. The argument ended with a 32 year old white male being stabbed in the upper body.

A second subject, a 28 year old white male, was transported to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange by ambulance for treatment. Physical evidence that is believed to have been used in the assault was recovered from the crime scene.

The stabbing victim was admitted to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange. The victim suffered from a laceration on his upper body. The victim was stabilized and then transported by air rescue to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and is conducting the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time. The Orange Police Department responded to the wreck call.
