Benjamin Wiley Black, 84 of Newton, died on Jan. 28, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 30, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Jan. 31, at 10:00 am at Smith Funeral Home with burial to follow at Newton City Cemetery.

He was born on July 29, 1926 in Newton. He retired from Sandoz Chemical Plant in Beaumont.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Billie Black of Newton, daughters, Mary Kay Dorsey and husband, Cliff of Bridge City, and Margie L. Herrin of Newton; grandsons, Shane Dorsey of Bridge City and Corey Dorsey and wife, Jessica of Beaumont, granddaughters, Michelle Barrow and husband, Bric of Newton and Melody Herrin of Dallas; great grandchildren, Brooke Dorsey of Merkle, Tx and Zane and Chett Barrow of Newton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Newton City Cemetery or Harbor Hospice House of Beaumont.
