Ed Knost, 94, of Vidor died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at the funeral home.

Ed was born Jan. 04, 1917. A native of Orange, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Ed was a retired Electrician with Local Union IBEW #479 and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

Ed was preceded in death by his two wife’s Margaret Lillian Knost and Mary Young.

He is survived by his sons, Jim Knost and his wife Cynthia, Greg Knost and his wife Jo, all of Vidor, Robert Knost and his wife Sharyn of Lake Sam Rayburn area; daughter Margaret Dornak of Vidor; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
