Credit card fraud reported to Orange police
Orange Police are dealing with reports of fraud in the form of credit and debit card abuse. Over the weekend, two reports were filed with the police dept.
Patrice West complained of four transactions being made without her knowledge. When West checked her financial statement online, there had been transactions made that were not made by her. The transactions, which were made from Jan. 27 through Feb. 2, totaled over $300.00.
She informed police and her financial institution that she wishes to file charges in reference to this offense.
In a separate offense, a victim notified police that he discovered his debit/credit card missing from his residence. Friday, he went to his bank to cancel the card and bank records showed unauthorized use of the card.
The victim also stated that three transactions, unauthorized by him had taken place at a local business, and that he also wishes to press charges.
Copies of the transactions were provided by both victims.
