Evelyn Marie Eitel Sidman, 64, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pinehurst.

Services to remember her life will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, Feb.13, 2011 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

The Rev. Jeff Bell, Chaplain of Southeast Texas Hospice will officiate. Interment will follow in Jett Cemetery in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Evelyn was born on Nov. 25, 1946 in Orange, to her parents, Uel Navera Eitel and Goldie Maye (Moore) Eitel, she was a lifelong resident of Orange, she had most previously worked as an attendant at the Longhorn Casino in Vinton, she was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Orange and she was of the Baptist faith. Evelyn enjoyed collecting angels, spending time with children in her extended family and going to the casino.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Geneva Scott Oakley and her brother, James Uel Eitel.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her son, Billey Wayne Caples of Houston, Texas; her sister, Alice Wright Dowling of Mauriceville; her half sister, Connie James and husband, Bobby of Orange.

Evelyn is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members.
