Harold Haymon Sr., 78, of Orange passed away on Friday, Feb.11, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 from 5 pm until 9 pm at Dorman Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

He was a native of Leesville, LA; born on June 12, 1932 to the late Azzie Roar Haymon and Jeana (Mckee) Haymon. He had lived in the Orange area for 52 years and retired BF Goodrich as a operator after 40 years employments. He served his country in the Army during Korean Conflict. He was a member of Echo Baptist Church.

Harold was very active in sport; coaching his sons and grandchildren teams, watching his favorite teams play and going to as many of his grandchildren games. One of his favorite things to do was going to garage sales. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded is death by his daughter, Janice Shay and several sibling.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Jean (Turner) Haymon of Orange; sons, Stephen Nester and wife Susan of New Mexico, Harold Haymon Jr. and wife Kim of Buda, TX, Ronnie Haymon and wife Samantha of Orange; sisters, Ruby Thornton of Deridder, LA, Fay Littleton, Idell Hunter, Adell Wellbanks all of Leesville; brother, Hubert Haymon of Lafayette; grandchildren, Harley, Broc, Roman Tuff, David, Chad, Amanda, Little Steve and Bridget. He also survived by a very large extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Deven Jarrell, Dan Akerson, Broc Haymon, Roman Haymon, Chad Shay and David Shay Jr.
