Richard James Billiot, 63, of Orange, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Christus St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur.

A Military Graveside Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Richard was born in Port Arthur on March 21, 1947. He served in the U.S. Army where he was deployed twice during the Vietnam War and retired as a pipefitter.

Richard is survived by his mother and step-father, Dora and Floyd Teal of Mauriceville; father, Cleveland Billiot of Morgan City, Louisiana; and children, Rachel Billiot, Angela Billiot and Richard Parks.

Also surviving are his sister, Diana Taber of Las Vegas, Nevada; half-brother, Wil Ewing of Baytown; step-sisters, Brenda Teal of Steelville, Missouri, Deborah Teal of Granite Shoals; and step-brothers, Michael Teal of Buna, Randy Teal of Crossroads and Glenn Teal of Vidor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45250-0301 or a charity of your choice.
