David W. McClelland, 48, of Orange passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 2 PM at Victory Life Church in Orange. A private burial will be held by the family at a later date

He was a native of Lake Charles; born on May 30, 1962 to Thomas O. McClelland Jr. and Alpha Marie (Key) McClelland. He had lived in Austin, Tyler and the last nine years in Orange. He was a member of Victory Life Church in Orange and he served his country in the Army. David was self employed as a great handyman.

One of his favorite things to do was sitting and drawing with his daughter, Miranda. David loved to play the guitar, watch cable TV and work in the yard. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas O. McClelland; nephew, Michael McClelland.

He is survived by his wife Molly (Malone) McClelland of Orange; daughter, Miranda McClelland of Orange; mother, Alpha Marie (Key) McClelland of Orange; sisters, Mildred Frances Herriger of Atlanta, TX, Myra Joyce Peterson and husband William of Plainfield, IL, Mary Katherine McClelland of Orange; brother, Thomas O. McClelland III and wife Ginger of Sulphur, LA. David is also survived by his mother and father in laws, Theo and Forrest Malone of Tyler; sister in laws, Dawn Hahn and husband Mark of Mason, TX, Juliana Malone of Dallas; brother in law, Darryl Malone and wife Sheri of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
