Wednesday afternoon officer Troy Tyson, with the Orange Police Dept. was dispatched to the police station to meet with a victim of burglary of a vehicle. Marissa Gerik told police she had gone to Bear Academy Daycare to pick up her daughter.

When Gerik returned to her vehicle about 15 minutes later, she noticed her Apple I-Pad case and modem were missing. She stated the vehicle was locked when she went into the daycare and she did not give anybody permission to enter her vehicle or to remove the I-Pad.

The estimated cost of the I-Pad and modem are about $890.00, and she would like to press charges if a suspect is located.

There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle.
