Alma F. Robins, 87, of Orange, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, at The Meadows in Orange.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Private services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Robins was born in Charleston, W.V. on March 27, 1923, the daughter of Charles Stonewall Barnett and Ada (Partlow) Barnett. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Orange.

For many years, she wrote Story Time for the Beaumont Enterprise. She was a longtime volunteer at Baptist Hospital in Orange and was an enthusiastic fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Stewart “Stew” Robins, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ronnie Theriot of Orange; son, William M. Robins of Mountain Home, Ark.; son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Angela Robins of Beaumont.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Loretta Gomez, Bill Theriot, Korey Hester, David Clark and her great grandchildren, Taylor and Brennan Theriot.
